thats incorrect, the FB3 will run fine at USB1.1

most of the USB over CAT5 will only work at USB1.1 speeds... I run my keyboard, mouse, USB Sound Card, FB3 and Enttec USB>DMX off of one of those USB extenders, all at USB1.1

there are USB2 over CAT5e/CAT6 (gigabit has nothing to do with it since its not using ethernet at all)

they are very expensive generally.. ex http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...7BBTkwCjCECjCE

ah yes, proper USB over ethernet is nice... from what I have heard most people have not had much luck with the consumer stuff... and the real nice stuff is also pricy

The Lantronix UBOX extenders are pretty nice, but may be a bit difficult to find.
Works fine with my FB3 on my Windows XP laptop.

would be nice to find a real usb over network that work with the fb3 qs
i tried the belkin but that fails at anything higher than 20kpps scan rate
i would love to have wireless fb3 the pro stuff is to expensive to buy and find out that will have the same problems as the belkin

Really? The projector status reported in QS tells me 40mbps of 480mbps utilised. That is why I assumed USB 1.1 was insufficient. Have you actually used USB 1.1 with FB3?
    This space for rent.

yep, like I said... whenever I use it on my desktop it gets plugged in at my desk, goes over one of those USB1.1 extenders... (I generally edit my shows on my desktop, either QS2 with my FB3 or LD2k via .NET)

I have my keyboard, mouse, USB audio device, FB3 and Enttec DMX adapter plugged into a hub that plugs into the extender, goes about 70 feet or so to the network closet that has my PC in it

works fine... probably not ideal? but works fine
