I didnt get the 63133 's , I got the higher power 6388 's. I am running 411 mA (absolute max 430) to 'em . They are multimode but have a small emitter size (comprable to the 445 blueys) I am getting 200+ mW out of 'em each and they're absolutely BEAUTIFULL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-edit- oh yeah the reminder.. I got 2 ai's that r gonna go hi- pressure soon if i forget too much longer .. gotta go fire 'em up !!!!!!!
    Cheerz..

I just got my 63133 diode. From reading here, it looks like 250 to 320 mA is the
working range for this diode as discussed and shown on the data sheet.
Is 320 mA the MAX anyone has tried?

-uhh .. I'll let you know when I get around to them .. been busy ..

FWIW, I've had good luck overdriving several DI-LDs about 30mA below absolute max rating per the specs. I would think it'd be safe to drive them (of course with massive heatsink/ fans or TEC) at around 290-295 mA, but that's just me. Not to be blamed if they blow I have not tried the 63133s so I don't know that diode personally.

That's generally good advice. That's where I planned to start.

interesting of you to ask jenny, i expect you would have access to quantity discounts etc.
can you check with a supplier of yours for the opnext HL 63133 DG diode? this is the 637nm

we as hobbists buy it per piece, so we pay heavy premiums...

Does anyone have a beam size measurement yet, at aperture, for the HL 63133 DG ?
Getting ready to order some to play with.

i don't know on the chinese market there is cheap diode from opnex. i talked with some suppliers, since they could get low price for 405nm or 445nm diode, maybe they could get the 488nm or 375nm laser diode with low price. But they told me it is impossible unless the such diodes are widly used. Besides, they are not bought from the manufactuer directly. The cheap 405nm diodes on the market are bought from the customer of Nichia or sony etc...
