I do not bicker over a few dollars so 16 or 20 dollars is fine. I need 4. What I wanted to do was have them sent to Dave, have Dave mount them in the barrels for me and ship them to me. Thus my 4 should be added to daves order pending that he wants to do that. So count my 4 anyway you want. If someone closer can do the barrels that would be fine too. I'm in Cleveland, Oh usa.

    Default 445nm anybody?

i'm not able to do so at the moment (and i really wonder why i haven't tried it already) but here goes: anybode tried these with the 445 diodes? they are significantly cheaper than the 405-g-2 lens, and something tells me that they will perform beter, too. especially with DrLava's cylinder lenses.

so, at this price, it could be the magic bullet lens for 445 too.

It already works like a charm for loc's and 63133 opnext. and i can also say that it "almost" works with the mitsu flashlights and some 8x cylinders

I would say its fairly equal to the 405-g-2 on 445. I can't do a direct comparison because I let my last 405-g-2's go out with a module. The divergence and aperture size are very close. From memory, the spots look just a wee bit different, nothing to speak of really. And the power output is very close. Again, unfortunately I can't do an A/B comparison. I will be using them in my 445 builds from here on out. I'm gonna order a 8mm optima to try on 445 as well. Hope to get the same beam as o-like with maybe a little more output. Well see.

They do work with the mitsu's. I have been messing with a -12.5 and 50mm telescope here in the last week. The 4X tele gives a better (cleaner) spot than the -12.5 and 100mm tele in the kits I have been making. To get a divergence of about 1.1 the first lens has to be about 100-120mm from the diode. I think the reason for the better spot is the shorter 4X telescope is aberration corrected by nature of the negative and positive lens + focal length combination. I will post more of this in mitsu thread later.

in that case, maybe a full-scale-buy-all-that-moves-take no prisoners-group-buy could be the way to go

break the 1000 pcs mark and buy the lenses for 10 each

keeps construction simple. a single lens, a single lens retainer, maybe even a single diode mount (as long as the diode position is adjustable)

Made two attempts to reach optima already today. Man they are hard to get a hold of! We are close to 100pcs. I will inquire about the discount at 100.

I may go to 25 depending on the price break @ 100 pcs.
