Thanks justin, but there is nothing about scanspeed ore colour channels on that side, we need more techincal stuff :-)
And can you confirm that the limitation of 30K is in the QS2 Software ?, becourse as i remember in QS1 p128 (the first release) it could go til 120K

I always thought that the limitation was purely software based, not hardware. I'm sure an SE/XE board is capable of more than 30kpps and whatever that would equate to on modulation.
I use LivePro and it allows higher than 30k speeds on both my SE and QS boards.

The scan rate limit does not have to be software based. There is a good chance it could handle higher than 30Kpps, though USB bandwidth/speed is another thing to consider, since all the "points" are streamed to the FB3 the whole time.

I think you'll be very lucky to see them unlocking greater than 30fps on their semi-professional software. I'm sure one of the distinguishing differences between their top software and semi-top software was stated as the scan speed difference.

That said, who knows though, maybe as programmes such as Beyond develop larger gaps in other areas, they might open this up as no longer being a significant distinguishing factor. Your guess is as good as mine.

FB3-QS is supposed to do up to 100kpps in Beyond

the FB3-SE/XE actually has a 4th color channel output hidden away, but its not electrically connected and the software does not talk to it

Do you know how to connect the 4th channel? Can Livepro or BEYOND control it?

don't think anything will talk to it currently... just kind of an unsupported thing I guess... anyway if you need more PPS or color channels you can always sell your SE/XE here and buy the QS for a little more

No Flecom that will not help to sell the se/xe to get more PPS, if the limitation is in the software, ore can any one comfirm that QS2 can scan faster whit FB3 QS

Ore a sugestion to Pangolin to make a licence to QS2 to open higher scanspeed, so both SE/XE and QS can go "Beyond" :-) the 30K PPS limit

Is anyone know if Mamba has this software limitation ? mabye i have to change !

130,000,000pps as far as the slider limits are concerned. It makes no distinction between an SE/XE board, or a QS board anyway.
