    alexhu,

i'm sure it's quite a coincidence that the beams and dichros picture on your website ( http://www.zrlaser.com/en/index.html) looks *exactly* like the one from onestoplasershop.com.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

LOL! I'm sure it's total coincidence. Just like how his scanner amps look nearly identical to the DT-40Pro scanner amps (including, even, the notch filter!). Pure coincidence!

No no no.... these amps are special... they are sprinkled with pixie dust!!!!!
(they don't look like the new(er) amps... so maybe special pixie old design amps :-) )

If recent other threads are to be taken at face value, you should avoid all Chinese galvos and especially safety systems due to the cheap components and unreliability

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

I think you should see that in context. (i don't know the correct english word for it)
Professional laserrist should try to avoid unreliable gear at all times.
Us DIY passionate hobbyists cant afford 3000 euro CT scanners and cant justify the cost for the things we do with it in our homes and private LEMs.

5 years ago we were all to happy to put in the 500$ china galvo's in our projectors.
The level is getting higher and higher.... and so is the china product bashing.
Laserwave modules were very good in 2007.... nowadays you must rock Kvants to be considered serious and at technically high level.

Let us just do what makes us happy.. as long as is it done safely...

Sorry, I appear to have forgotten to use the [TongueFirmlyInCheek] tags

And god forbid all those those 'Pros' out there using Chinese kit - their time will come!

I do own a Kvant though....

    drm916-

a "scanfail" *DOES NOT* need to be anything electronic. It can simply be a beam mask at the aperture of your system. In fact, this is what I and OSLS do with our systems and these are now approved (or on the way of being approved) by the CDRH. A "Scanfail" is defined as something that prevents radiation in excess of class IV levels in the event of a scanner failure. A beam mask (black tak, physical beam block) satisfies this requirement.

It does not need to be anything overly complicated nor electrical.

Alexhu- You should be ashamed of yourself for stealing another's photo (one stop laser shop) and using it as your own. How about doing some hard work yourself, take the 15 minutes out of your day to snap a couple pictures and use THOSE for your website. Don't take somebodys elses hard work and use it for your own benefit. This is the EXACT reason why many professionals are getting sick and tired of the Chinese business ethics and practices.
