    Default L-640rgb 2.1w

They sell a 640 projector for 2890 USD

    500mw 640
    800mw 532
    800mw 445

As White-Light points out this will be much safer and brighter to run than 1.5 watts of 650 if your firing it at an audience.

Don't know what the quality of the components and build is like, and how much of the stated power is Infra-Red.

To do a good comparison you need to compare quality of the used parts like dichromounts, lasers and specs. The lower the divergence the better the brightness of the beam and also better graphics.Does the projector has scanfail and does it has all the safetyfeatures? Does i come in a rugged alluminium 5mm thick case with a 10mm baseplate or in some folded metal box with all the parts in one box so that you can clean your optics after every gig? Does it have a slidable window cover to protect you glass AR coated window. Does it have chinese powersupplies or High quality traco,s in them. If you spend a small fortune you should spend it wisely. A BMW cost more then an Old beetle but also more reliable.

Michelrietveld has 600mw of blue , 300mw of green and 1000mw of 658nm. His modules have a very low divergence and his white as toothpaste. Ask if he can post some pics on PL with beamshots or ask if he can send some pics to you. He build it himself and i supplied the modules. You can always choose for a mix of red like 2 diodes of 637 and 2 658,s in red module
to have deeper violets. I will ask michel to reply on this thread so you can see what he has.

If you are planning to do proffesional shows the only red you want is 640nm

Shooting 1w of 660nm into the audiance while its just as visible as 400mw is not ok.

Please take care of our audiance is our duty.

I would go for a mix because you have deeper violets.

However michel was at my place saterday to upgrade his red. Its quite good and if i buid it the customer can always upgrade it to as many red diodes of 637 as he
wants. Just to compare have a look what the price is of a 660nm module from Kvant:

    http://www.synchrovision.co.uk/660nm-dark-red

I can build both 637nm and 660 modules. The red and blue modules are available at a competitive market price but not dirt cheap Of course when buying a rgb set then there is an aditional discount. The more you buy the more i can invest in developing new stuff and that support needs the be rewarded. At least that,s my opinion.

So you rather want deeper violet over more brigtness?

At a venue x you can only use x amount of power, if you use 640nm you will have much more overall brightness with a similar powered projector with 660nm.

Very nice. That's about exactly what I'm putting together with all those same parts and it's nice to see one that's complete. (The only real difference is something besides 650 and, the power connector won't be neutrik.)
