New build, 2W RGBs

Im going to build 2 new 2 W RGBs

Im going to use a FB3 and DT40 Wides.

I need some help to decide what kind of lasers to install, are where to buy the from.

I was thinking of this configuration:

500mW 532
800mW 445
1W Red

What red should I use, it will be mainly for aerial effects.

Parts alone are likely to be much more than your budget for a 2W projector, even with using 660nm LPC diodes.

I concur.
Your budget "might" buy the scanners, lasers, optics and mounts for One unit, "if" you use an inexpensive 445 blue and Red with a crappy large beam. It adds up fast... Then you still have to put it all in a case. I busted the 3K mark while my 1.4 watt RGB was still a pile of cobbled together parts on a scrap aluminum plate.

I was thinking I'm the only Mexican here
But you have more time here than me.
For Red I go for something in 642nm and 637nm range.
For aerial is more visible. I think you already now that, but just in case.
I have a Laserwave from Bridge and is nice and bright. and another with Daves mounts and PBS.
I buy parts and DIY is more cheaper.

You don't need 1W Red if you use 637nm or 642 diodes. Around 600mw should be fine.

Best laser modules seem to be Kvant at the moment, but whether they're in your budget is another matter.

As for where to buy from, have you tried CT lasers?

BTW with Kvant modules prices its probably as cheap to buy the whole projector once you add in the cost of the other components.

Thanks for your responses, I do think it can be build for under 3K each but I also found a ready built projector from Spacelas.

Has anyone tried Spacelas projectors? i have this offer and its on budget:

Laser: 650nm 1500 + 532nm 800mw + 445nm 800mw Analogue modulation
Scan Speed: 30kpps@+/-25degree, Max 50kpps
Scan Angle: Max 70 degree
Beam: ca. 4mm / 1mrad

I think it has the PT 30 Galvos from the group buy.

Is this good? would i need to upgrade the galvos?

I don't know what your intended use is but if you plan to audience scan I'd urge you to consider 640 or 637. The higher the powers and the higher the wavelength, the harder it becomes to run a safe show and maintain brightness.
