That sucks. Sounds like you zapped something. Well on the bright side the lasers still work
And Jon, I don't have any good diff any more, so when in a pinch

Yea, the downside is I'll probably have to send it back to the US for replacement, which entitles MORE waiting for me. Also, shipping from Aus to the US is not cheap, so I hope the seller has a deep wallet. We'll see what happens.
Just thought I'd mention, the flickering white line at the bottom has been there from the start, does anyone elses do that when connecting an iPod for the first few seconds?
Sir Things -
Is there any-sort of recessed 'reset' button-port, anywhere? Perhaps check the manual... might need a 're-set' (?)... I seem to remember something about that...
then again, maybe I'm hallucinating-that from some old memory-bank relating to something completely-different.. entirely-possible...
Maybe I can help with that...I've got to PM ya about somethin, else, anyway... ttys..

Any chance you have some details on the beamspecs and chromatic collinearity ?

Not much, just casual observation so far. Beams look pretty good. The factory gets the beams close then then do the fine tuning electronically with the mems, pretty clever actually.
This is at about 25' the red is about 7mm or so. Remember the beam size is based on throw for video. They were not trying for the tightest beam, But I think It will be just fine.
The red is the worst but I should be able to adjust that.

p.s. jon reminded me of something. If you hold down the power button it is supposed to do a hard reset(like 20 seconds) .
Jon- there is no reset. I have been over every mm.

Yea, looking more and more like it's a hardware issue. Extremely disappointed I waited so long on shipping, to have the thing die on me on the first day.
That's it! iirc, there was *something* like that... Good to know I am only 50% senile...
Well, if a 'hard-reset' fails to resurrect, can you just call woot / discuss? Perhaps they will send you another (if-available) whilst this one goes back to the manuf. or ?? for-repair, etc... Have not read woots-policy, on that, so, dunno - just a thought...

I didn't actually get this one off woot, I got it from an eBay seller over 3 weeks ago. yes, shipping took that long, and i'm dreading having to wait that long again.
We'll see what happens.
I have a feeling this EeePC charging adapter may have been a helping hand in destroying it, useless piece of junk is hardly isolated from the mains, s much so that if you're holding ground, and touch metal on the computer, it zaps you, and quite badly too.
Lets just say, that power supply has found a firm place under the force of a large hammer.
However, the flickering dim white line has been there from the start, and I've also found the projector sometimes cuts out temporarily when sitting on the splash screen, so I'm not totally convinced this was the only issue.
woot always takes around 3 weeks with little to no communication. I would much rather buy from a top rated seller on ebay rather than them
The SHOWWX+ is supposed to have a brighter output (15 ansi lumens) compared to the SHOWWX (10 ansi lumens). Anybody think that they get the extra output simply by turning up the drive current on the LDs? If so what are the chances that the adjustment can be made by meer mortals. My guess is that it's encoded in the firmware and probably not adjustable, but just wondering.
