    My set up is off line for now...while I fabricate a better Lava lens holder and incorporate a P3 driver....BUT.....I got a 1.1mRad ( Max) with an aperature of 1.5 x 4.5 mm with the Lava lenses....with a 406-G-1 colliminator. I will measure again...when things are back together.

    Can someone try this 3 prism setup with the red diode?

    It gave me low loses with the blue diode due to the more "conservative" angles that the prisms are set, around 3,5% more than just a single prism.
    It also gave me a very nice rounded square spot of 14 x 14 mm at 13m distance (405-g-2 collimator)
    Maybe it works with the red too.

    I see it as a way to achieve higher magnification ratios using anamorphic prisms, or to have less loses with lower magnification

    Does anybody know where to get good cheap prisms with a decent ar coating for these 638s ?
