I,m dicking arround with a dr lava set and i wondered what the FL is of the 2 lenses. I,m thinking of ordering some different FL ones just to play with. Does anyone have some info about those? If someone know but don,t want to post it on PL could someone help me and send me a PM?

    Thanks.

What's the best beam anyone's gotten without having to use the cyl lenses? .. And, any info on the mitsu P73s, anyone? I'm tempted to try rayfoss.. might lose 120 bucks tho :/ I sent them a question.. I'll wait and see if I get an answer .. http://www.ebay.in/itm/ws/eBayISAPI....m=170690735344

okay so i just thought of a way to get a cheaper quad setup to get (2W with the 300mw diodes) (4W with the 500mw diode)
CDbeam you are going to love this.

    So a quick explanation.
The beams are stacked before correction optics.
Then they are sent threw the first C-lens when they come together to a point they are then combined again.
This will give you a beam profile of around 4.5mm wide by 4mm tall with a mrad of under 0.9
This setup does not need a cube or a wave plate.
this is good because it means you can combine 2 units and get (4W with 300mw diodes or 8W with the 500mw diode)

Default Lava Lenses fL set distance

Mr.E....Plano to Plano at 17.91mm....That is what I found....using the 2.9 Collimation Lenses from Dave. See drawing of a acrylic mount design I used for Lava lenses. Beam

i just finshed two days at uklem with my dual build banging out over 1w , and not a sign of trouble out of it , and still doing over 1w when i finished
so i am well happy, so far this build has done two days on the test bench at 1w cw and another two days scanning at 1w , so i thinks its safe to say these diode are quiet strong
next stop build a quad with daves 2mm fl lens..
When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.

yea i was surprised to hear dave thought pushing the 300mw diodes to do 500mw was over driving the crap out of them.
I cant wait to get the 500mw diodes in a quad setup like i posted then. i think i will also do the same for a quad blue.
Just thinking of it makes me so excited to have a 3 to 4W red and a 3.5W 445nm just need to find a good source for a 2W green.
It will be one strong projector.
I will have to turn the power way down when i use it indoors.
