Mike...I have my C-Lens optics....specifically the PCV-Plano concave lens....closest to the LD output....at approx 60mm distance.....I have trialed extending the distance...up to 200mm... to see if this increased the magnification and acheived improved beam correction....nope !! so....60 mm was the distance I selected only based on the fact that I could still focus adjust the collimation lens and keep things as compact as possible. I so no ill effects of a 60mm seperation distance !! Perhaps different magnification Cylinderical lenses will have different results ??? Dunno ??

As to the issue of sourcing Cylinderical lenses....DRlava sent me a PM some time ago that he would do the purchasing for different magnification lenses..but was very busy. I have never done a GB....nor do I know that I really want to. That is why some time ago...I suggested someone like Dave at LSP or Jordan at DTR add C-Lenses to their allready good assortment of offerings !!! Or Possibly Aaron/Kiyoucan !!!!!!!!

Since this now seems to be a bottleneck.....Who is interested in Cylinderical lenses ????? Solarfire was helping me out with my understanding of which lens to choose( Thanx)...For the PCV...a -4 for the fL. For the PCX....a 24 for 6X or a 32 for 8x for the fL. I THINK this correct ??????? Please make your interest known !!!
Perhaps someone with experience at GB's will step up. I for one would like two (2) sets.

Added: I like Drlava's lenses because they are small !!!

After the 30k GB and getting f#cked via import taxes i said no more GB's. but maybe for these.
GB are a pain as the second people hand you money the first email you will get is so i gave you money like 10 min ago how long till i have them? The answer once everyone has paid. Then you get the constant badgering about random stuff barley related about how to use said lenses. Then something may or may not go wrong and as the organizer its your job to right it. (even if it costs you money)
I am ordering but i talked to the DR and it will cost about 100$ to get 1 set made with higher magnification for testing.
So maybe a few of us throw some money into a fund and send them off to a member to do a in depth testing.
i would donate 10$ and im sure many others would to.
Also maybe test with different short FL lenses ranging from 1.5 up to 2.5 the beam is close but i think with one last push we can get it damn near perfect.

Dave does the short fl lens and special mounts,
But be warned you need paitence adjusting the diode when setting it up fiddly job..
