suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Check the datasheets - The descriptions say +-24V, but the datasheets say single 24V

Oh crap, your right. What a fsck up for a technical product site!!!

Having thought about this for a bit, I would NEVER run scanners from 2 x 24V supplies wired in series. Why? Two reasons.

    1. I would expect the scanners to barf should both rails not come up simultaneously.
    2. A failure of one supply would also be bad...
    This space for rent.

Finding 24V supplies and putting them in series is no problem. But ±24V supplies are quite rare because there isn’t much generic use unlike the ±15V ones.
And ordering custom without needing large quantities enough to start every sales person drooling is going to be very expensive.

I’ve been looking from time to time for a quality supply (not those cheap Chinese boxes filled by almost nothing but air) but so far only found the SRW-115-2004, thisone can supply 2.5A on both outputs but is to big for my needs.Something smaller in the 1.5-2A range would be perfect.
The SRW-115-4008 could be interesting for some, it has +24V@2A, 5V@3A, 5V@2A, -24@2A

You could DIY a linear supply for 1/3 the price. A 2x18VAC toroid, a rectifier bridge and a couple of capacitors is all you need

Definitely not the space- and weight-saver I was looking for.
People build projectors smaller than this supply.
