    Default ILDA buffer

A while ago I built some DB-25 to cat5 boxes, that just go straight thru (No signal conversion etc).

Around the end of this week, I have a show where I may need to rig the projector a fair distance from where I'll need to control it.

I'm not 100% sure on the length of cable I'll need, however it's almost certain it'll be at least 20 metres.

I was wondering, is the voltage drop (From the FB3, to ALL laser-wave lasers), going to be significant over these distances, and if so, what I can do about buffering my signals?

Like I said, it needs to be up and running in under a week, so ordering buffer boards is out of the question.

I realize it's fairly simple to do with opamps, however, opamps are about my only electronics weakpoint.

Any circuits/suggestions you can give me are highly appreciated

    Cheers,
    Dan

    20m will be fine.
On some gigs I've run 90m+ runs with no signal issues.

Generally, you'll only hit issues when daisy chaining multiple RGB's.

Tell you what... to make sure; test it! Plug in a coiled ~50m cable, then switch back to a ~5m and see if you notice any difference in output.
