Default Siemens HeNe laser 27,4mW 633nm

had this HeNe laser laying around
it seems to be made by Siemens but the model sticker has been removed
warning sticker says max 5mW but its going far over it so that seems like a basic sticker put on all lasers that time.
cold start around 16mW after 15 minutes it is raised to 27,4mW

i am not sure about the price but seeing a 40mW being sold @ 999 USD + shipping i guess this would be worth 499 USD + shipping? (if not please correct me or let me know what you want to give for it)

That is pretty sexy. If I only had the money and the room.

    WOW Danny...
    499 US$ for 28mW... good price!
This should means to earn more than US$ 1200 if I sell my >70mW HeNe 632.8nm!
What about to find a buyer to me also? (for my HeNe tube)

The only problem will be the package and the shipping....
My laser tube is long more than 1 meter.... And I have a huge fear that it can be destoyed during shipping.
Best thing to me will be to find a buyer in Italy or in a close country (deliver in person by car)...

    Steve

I believe the one that Danny is selling is a polarised single mode HeNe. That makes it good for holography

Yours appears to be a multimode with random polarisation, which unfortunately make it pretty useless for holography.

That's where the price difference comes in

    Cheers

Ah!.... Now I know what difference is between these lasers!...

Effectively I wondered myself why price is so high for so little power...
How much ignorant still I am about holography!!!! I apologize.

Thanks a lot Jem for your explanation!

    Cheers

I'm interested. But I cannot put any claim to this until I find out if anyone wants a 35W CO2....
