So, the fact that Pangolin's security model is meeting there needs, regardless of whather it is really secure or not, is what it is all about. If you are so smart, crack it and release the information. Saying you can crack it and doing it are different things.
Well I did try to zip the Spaghetti main folder and transfer it to another computer to see if it worked, so technically speaking you're lucky I don't have any hacking knowledge. xD (Not that I would have distributed a license file generator or something if I could, I just wanted to get it to work with the Framestreamer which doesn't work on my laptop with Spaghetti, but the dongle system should solve that problem)

On topic I have no opinion of the matter. I have never worked with Pangolin as they are way out of my price league. I know both heroic as masterpj as two nice people and I am rather astonished that this discussion is here.

    Also, brains.

The thing is nowone does it.. and lets keep it like that.. end of the argument the protection does enough for me and to me it's good enough for what it is now.
I would put you on douchebag list number 1 if you'd even attempt cracking it.
And I would be even daring to vote a cluebyfour if you attempt to crack it.. since it isn't gaining anything.. what it is gaining is lasershow piracy and abuse.. so no challange there!

Actually I still don't understand how this fits the "advance tech discussion" when you cant have a discussion as you have held back, and also it seems like it should be the lounge as it is just propaganda. Also those imo advertising themselves on PL, should have there name in the special blue, by donating monthly to SPEC for this boards bandwidth usage.
Since the security is not related to the creation of this topic.. the security is not a point of discussion.
Also I'm not really advertising but rather sharing the info of where i'm working on.
and yes I am about to donate to spec.

I suppose they don't feel it's important for their message. Could be. In any event, here is our tabulation over the last years:

    My apologies Everyone.
This topic wasn't made to show off, as it might have seemed like.

I was a bit too enthusiastic about the site being worked on and basicly posted to early.
It was intended to be a kind of a tease of what's coming, at the time i thought this would make people rather curious about the project, I didn't want to reveal anything yet for surprise reasons.
There's a lot to be still a lot to be announced though, I really have thought this out and am confident about the progress of this project.

Again i'm very sorry about the creation of this post, The way I presented this was rather unprofessional.
Though I did learn from the way things went, on this topic and will act more responsibly next time

    Thanks for everyone's attention.

    Best regards,

    Pieter

Just saw this thread, glad you're getting to automate the card/dongle show locking process for distribution, PJ! Having a card in a datacenter isn't that cool in itself, it's just part of the requirement for an automated per-purchaser licensing system, which has been a long time coming. Personally, I think it's grand you're going to be offering ILDA versions as well.
We should talk about automating the LSX-serial restricted version of your shows, too. It would follow similar lines to what it sounds like you're doing. A user makes a purchase, enters their serial #, and the server then applies the proper licensing encryption with that serial number to the show and makes the show available for download to the customer. Send me a message, and we can roll, the more the merrier!

    Ok got an small update.
The site has just been SSL certified which means we have a secure socket layer, which means we can provide more safety on the site
Just wanted to give a little headsup.

Also all credit card payments and ideal payments gets done externally when the service is up and running for maximum security!
