Stop me if I go wrong anywhere, but the QM2k is a fairly straightforward Coldfire, some SDRAM, and some relatively slow DAC chips on a PCI card- it's not freaking rocket science. Extracting the keys would be relatively easy for anyone with a 200 MHz MSO, since you can't protect the traffic on the SDRAM interface (those DIMMs, you know).

PJ you should know by now it is the internet and people will do as they want.

Actually I still don't understand how this fits the "advance tech discussion" when you cant have a discussion as you have held back, and also it seems like it should be the lounge as it is just propaganda. Also those imo advertising themselves on PL, should have there name in the special blue, by donating monthly to SPEC for this boards bandwidth usage.

It doesn't matter if it is hard or easy if no one does it. The Spaghetti license is not exactly the most sophisticated item but it hasn't been cracked yet and the reason why is because it isn't important enough. Over engineering something that doesn't need to be over engineered is not an admirable trait when it comes to business. So, the fact that Pangolin's security model is meeting there needs, regardless of whather it is really secure or not, is what it is all about. If you are so smart, crack it and release the information. Saying you can crack it and doing it are different things.

Actually at least 2 of Pangolin's programmers came straight from the Russian Defence / Aerospace Programme.

So maybe they're not quite the fool's you think they are.

    Fair enough.

I wasn't getting into the argument merely correcting what I saw as an inaccuracy.
