..Only because this is a thread about 'accuracy'

Indeed, the 'gen 1' mags in the 4k's were nickel-coated, and, yes, in-time many 'delaminated' and gummed-up inside.. we've replaced (for Clients and ourselves ..) some oh, 10-12 sets..

However, since they migrated to the *teflon* (iirc) coated mags, we haven't had *one* complaint or failure in 5-6 yrs, in about 29-ish galvos out there (..some are XYB-heads..) so.. Just so that little point is clarified.

Lookin forward to giving the 'Pangvos' a good thrashing, someday.

Bill, Do the laws of physics indicate that anyone wins a flame war? Is this discussion a good idea when you don't have a product on the market yet? You're smart - I knew that years ago - but this is ego - you're not winning customers doing this...

A customer sends failing products to a "competing" company for analysis, and not to the producer so that he has a chance to improve it. This competing company , which not even has a product in this field than has nothing better to do than posting the results of the tests in a public forum? This is a funny industry!

Yeah it was a joke example. For some reason in the West, Kazakhstan is often thought of as a small backward country. Obviously in reality, we know very little about it!

Just so there would be at least one pic posted in this thread for now (aside sbk’s in the GB thread) and for all the ILDA-Frame-Freaks. I just threw it up there real quick and monochrome for now. Fresh out of the box, first run, no tweaking, ILDA frame @ 10° 60kpps. Software: Mamba 2.51, DAC MediaLas Hyperport USB up to 100kpps. Even at a much larger angle output the image doesn’t change much. Not exactly my method for judging scanner performance. During my 10 minute test the scanner block reached a temperature of 29.8° and the scan-amps 59.6° both without active cooling. More to come later with different test frames; I don’t have time now to do the full program.

    Let the nitpicking begin

    Cheers!

The circle is inside the square as opposed to just touching the walls, indicating that the scanning is too fast which is also why the circle has broken away at the top.

Overall I wouldn't say a bad result but clearly 60K @10 degrees appears too much on that result.

BTW how did you measure the scan angle? I'm not doubting you so much as just curious as to how accurate a method you've used.

White-light, any chance you could step away and leave this one to the people with experience please?

Your input is clogging what could become a very meaningful thread.

    Thanks
A little bit werrrr, a little bit weyyyyyy, a little bit arrrrgggghhh
