    Default BEYOND code scripts

Has anyone managed to get their heads around the code you can put in the cue start and end events?

I want to do the following: when a cue is selected, instead of just popping up, the cue expands from small to large. When I pick another cue, BEFORE the other cue shows, the currently playing cue contracts to small. This can be done, of course, with 2 cues (expand small to large and expand large to small) but this seems wasteful, not to mention annoying, as I might want to perform this with arbitrary cues during live performance. (The transition feature could be useful to do this with, but there currently doesn't seem to be a way of changing this behaviour per-cue.)

Some example scripts would be useful. I haven't been able to discern if there is any flow control (eg loops) in the scripts.

Also if anyone can figure out the QuickScript tab then let me know because it's not at all obvious!

This worries me greatly because if you can't suss it out, what chance do us mere coding mortals stand!

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

I will try to figure it out.
I haven't taken a single look at it.
    But will do!

Even code gods like myself need some documentation!

I wouldn't get too tied up with it. There will be documentation if its in the final version.

When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.

    Yeah I'm on 384 too.

I have had chats with Alexey in the past regarding an additive cue architecture (a bit like LivePro, but more flexible). He wasn't convinced.

My impression of BEYOND v1 is that - aside from the 3D, which I can't use anyhow because it complains that LD2000.DLL is missing - it's a slightly better Quickshow.

You've not dug very deep then. There's a vast difference on the creation side. There are additional features elsewhere.

I can only be vague publicly as a lot of the changes may be version 2.0, but whereas the release version 1.0 was only slightly different, since then Beyond has become something far more powerful.

At release I probably wouldn't personally have bought it over QS. Now I definitely would and I would imagine there are a lot more changes to come.
