Kind of lost track of these ML520G71 threads. After completing a 2X with cube I wanted to do a three with no cube. Bye the way.... puting the correction optics after the cube or after knifing two diodes is a PITA. The high magnification of the tele makes positioning VERY critical.

Here's the specs: 405-g-1 lenses, 5X5 mm at aperture and .6mRad X .75mRad. 855mW at .5 amps. Have some better cylinders on order that should get me 10% more power (hopefully).

Also, with the same arrangement and thor labs ~3mm fl lenses I can do 4 diodes with 5X5mm and .6 X ~1mRad.

I have studied this pic.....and I am confused !!!!! It looks like you are going thru cylinderical optics.....knife edging.....then thru a set of anamorphic prisms ??? Is that what I am looking at ??? Thanx.

    Beam
    That's exactly it.

Still having trouble getting rid of the "wings". It seems as though a lot of the power is in the "wings". If the "wings" are masked off and a power measurement is taken before and after the mask there is a big difference. Like around 25% depending on how close the mask gets to the main beam.

Anyone having luck with the "wings"?

Wow that's a cool setup Logsquared. How much power output with and without the wings?
