I used to love these UFO effects

Nearly bought a set of four of these off FleaBay recently, but was outbid in the end...

I'd like one of these and a harvester, just for my own retro pleasures... as I doubt I could hire them out realistically
If in doubt... Give it a clout?

    Damn!
    Must be an age thing.
I saw the thread title and started reminiscing about Ed Straker, S.H.A.D.O and Lt Gay Ellis.

I bet Lady Gaga watched this when she was a nipper and drew on it for inspiration.

I recall they also had Peter Gordeno in a string vest many years before it would be "re-imagined" by Rab C. Nesbitt.

That's weird, I don't seem to remember noticing that camel toe when I was 9?

    LOL...

I don't think you're showing your age that much...

Think I've still got a S.H.A.D.O.W. explorer tank thing in the attic!

Those effects are still fetching good money these days aren't they (not the camel toe, that effect seems to come cheap these days...)

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

If this one breaks free of it's mounts (or breaks the building) everybody is dead!

Whatever happened to the old school innovation? Today it's either moving heads or LED screens, nothing much else, boooo...

I remember seeing a Kremesa Krypton on a monorail at a club in Bedford, so it appeared to fly around the club, never saw one since... Crazy Mad thing...

Here's the only video I can find, crap quality but you get the idea...

Bring back the old Astrons, Astrospiders, harvesters etc...

    Mark

Edit: Another crap video, but two kryptons in a club!!!!

I'm guessing Health and safety what with all those spiky bits mark

You wouldn't like that on your head if it broke free!

That UFO looks interesting. Wonder how long the joints lasted though?

In fairness out of recent light fittings, the Pangolin Dazzler and Discoscan are innovative. Not cheap but neither is a moving head.
