I do for sure owe you an apology, as I can see now how my previous post could be interpreted the wrong way, as I was referencing the word "Apparently" as your supplier had used it in his response to you in that "Apparently delivery is going to be an issue".
Please keep up the good work and hopefully your efforts will pay off soon as these direct greens can't remain so elusive indefinitely.

Also I'm hoping these will become available easier & hopefully in August the price will be much lower, how awesome would it be to have one for <200$![]()

So, Sony and Sumitomo Electric have brought the world’s first green laser diode that has an optical output power of over 100 mW in the true green region at a wavelength of 530 nm.This precious green laser diode will deliver twice the luminosity as compared to the GaN green laser diodes, and a color gamut broadened by 182% based on the NTSC standard. Sumitomo Electric and Sony have worked together to bring this laser out in the market by using semi-polar GaN substrate, crystal growth, wafer processing technologies and Sony’s Blu-ray development technology. This just means that the videos and images on laser displays will become more vibrant in days to follow.

The device was grown using a semi-polar (20-21} GaN substrate. In this instance, the plane is tilted 75 degrees compared to the conventional GaN crystal c-plane.
