Yea but look at the divergence on that thing!

I can't tell from my uncalibrated eyeballs , but the raw diode divergence doesn't look any worse than any other red or blue diode without any collimation/correction lenses..

At 100 mw it is useless for dlp projectors so this is intended for flying spot raster projectors like the microvision stuff, pico projectors.
Knowing this, means that it is going to be single mode to match the other diodes and whatever the divergance in the fast and slow axis it will be designed so it it is useful for that purpose.

The other thing is who knows what test version that diode is. or the green could be shopped?

I don't think so. I suspect what they meant to say is that the pump diode is made by Sony
Also if you look it's 532 so it's definitely a DPSS.

Single Diodes here in Germany are about 210 Euro = 275$
3.8mm . . but this Time i dont know where to get a Lens with 520nm Coating..

Broadband AR would probably do. The correction optics thread on these things has yet to begin though .. -heh --
