    Default 510nm laser diodes within hobbiest hands

    I thought some of the folks over here would be interested in seeing this LPF thread if it hasn't already gotten around.

    50mw
    3% efficiency
    510nm
    .2mrad divergence
    Vf = 8V

    Interested?

    almost forgot to mention they are single mode!

    That divergence is really small. Mix it with one of the 50mw single mode 445nm and a 660nm red for a real nice mini source for a programing unit with excellent beam char.

    Yeah, those are really cool!

    Solid state green is getting closer. Kudos to those guys that managed to get their hands on some. It is only a matter of time before power levels start creeping up.

    Can't wait.

    I wish I could get my hands on them now.

    Whilst there's no doubt because of modulation green diode is the future, I'm unsure about 510nm green. Looks great on its own but from those pics when its side by side with 532 I prefer the deeper colour of the 532. Just my personal preference though and I'm sure many will prefer it the other way.

    To link one of Aryntha's photos (nice work Aryntha):

    Nice write up (on LPF); looks like argon green to me.

    I am waiting for my new shipment of Diodes. It looks like I may not get them in time for December. Yes, the soft green is a great color!
