well the laser spin group had their act canceled even after i told the promoter they could try another laser company with less scruples ( no shortage in Taiwan) and gave him their number. but they know the other companies and aren't happy with their set and forget shows.

so in short laser spinners got canned and i get to do it my way becas the promoter prefers to have me there....

I have worked for the guy for over 10 years so i kinda hoped it would work out this way.

reputation counts a lot, and that's always been a priority of mine.

Great news Dan, a booking and safety 1st.

As Steve said I'm sure there are ways of it being done safely but if like you if my reputation was on the line, I wouldn't want a bar of it unless MPE was proven to me 1st.

Why on earth would they *need* to use lasers anyway?

A well collimated LED source also produces a nice sharp beam, but it's a little bit fatter than the millimeter-thick beams coming from a laser. But since the beams move a *lot* slower than those from a projector, it's a better choice to go with.

Then again, an LED light source which is powerful enough could just as well be an eye hazard as a laser source.
