    Default Panel cutout blanking plugs?

I have a pre-punched rear panel which has cutouts for DB9 and XLR type fittings.

I won't be making use of these and wondered if it is possible to get blanking plugs?

I have some XLR ones, but could really do with some generic round ones of varying diameters, and specifically DB9 type connectors.

I think my problem is I'm probably not using the correct search terms to find them.

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Never come across DB9 style ones, but generic round ones are available.

Try searching for grommet rather then blanking plate... I'm fairly sure cpc/farnell sell them. If not, try CEF or Edmundson's...
If in doubt... Give it a clout?

Or fit a cheap socket to fill the hole & find a purpose for it. I had a 'spare' neutrik LAN socket on my projector which has a cover so rather than remove it and then find some way to fill the hole I made up a diagnostic tool & wired the unused socket to points in the projector.

cheers. I've got some XLR ones already from Neutrik, but thought the DB9 one would look nice. I think you can get small covers for graphics cards outputs, I could just use one of those with no socket underneath.

I have loads of those graphic card & similar covers here but they all fit over or with the nuts in some way or another, still think you will need a socket underneath. I use a DB25 cover on my ilda out as it helps keep my optics deck sealed.

    Ahhh... Yes.

Now you mention it, I remember I might have some of them from some PC builds... They're from rack cases and were removed to put the VGA headers into the case.

If I get time over the holiday, I'll have a rummage in my pit... (read workshop) ... and see if I can find them in the PC bit's box.

    No promises though

A good source for caps and plugs, but I doubt they'll have DB9, mostly just round and square plugs.

A rectangular cover with 2 holes in the right place will happily cover a DB9 cutout.
