    Dimmers, i've got some spare off-cuts of alu lying around that It might be of use.
    I was going to chuck it, but i'll bring it along

    I will bring some lenses and prism pairs i got from Edison and hope to be able to make something.
    When all goes wrong i could use the nice Dave's mounts i have and then make some sort of table to put the prism pairs on ?
    My beam heights are a bit high (38 and 43,5mm) so i really need some stuff to build my modules into the air ;-)

    Aahh... dudes, you really rock. Bring all the thickest ally you got and if you got an angle grinder or an electrical saw that would certainly make my life easier (i will bring my handsaw anyways). If people own a Dremel that they could bring , that would rock ! (still want one, high on my wishlist).
    And if Smog could bring his vise again, i can clamp those plates while sawing. (Will clear all sawdust Jim, i promise!).

    I have some spare Dave's mounts, those are 20mm high and the centre of the diode is at 15mm in the mount.
    Problem is that my beam in one green/blue needs to be at around 38mm and in the other one 43,5 (due to different scanners used in the past, so i am stuck with it).

    So basically for one laser i need to make dave's mount 23mm high and on top of that i would need around a 10mm high block (table for the prismpair).
    That would give me a center of the blue beam of around 38mm and that would match the green.

    In the other laser i need to raise Dave's mount to 28,5mm for a beamcentre of 43,5mm and then again a small 10mm or 12mm block to place the prism pairs (around 2cmx4cm or so ? That would be big enough to fit a prism pair right ?)

    @Andy: Don't suppose you can mill me up something that is 22 or 23 mm high and has a table for the prism pair that is even higher (10mm high ?)
    That would require a 33mm block of ally, don't think something like that exists in the hobby world ?
    Even if you could mill me a small baseplate of 20mm thick i could raise it to 22 or 23 with a 3mm plate that would be lovely.
    And then 2 small blocks of 10mm big enough to place the prism pairs that would be placed in front of daves mount that in turn would be on the 20mm block.

    @All the nice UKLEM visitors:
    Any help is appreciated if you own some tools that would help me cut,saw or file electrically that would quickly speed up my building stuff.

    Andy why don't you just take your shed along?

    In fact Jem could take his along as well and then you could have 2 areas.

    Stuff for sale:

    Anyone interested in buying a SpecScan CVL box? Previously used as a scan head for a copper vapour laser.
    I've gutted more or less everything I need out of it to use on other things; so should be regarded just as a chassis. There is a thick aluminium baseplate on standoffs in the base, also a flappy panel thing on the back.
    Would make an ok projector housing. I'll clean it all up and shine it up for sale if anyone is interested.

    I've also got a couple of STP-8 actuators for sale. Used, but tested working and will be supplied with the datasheet. Any interest?

    @Andy, cool!

    Do you know how much area one would need to place a set of prism pairs ?
    I think 2x4 cm is very nice right ? Or is that way to much ? As you can see i have lots of room, so it doesn't need to be the smallest thing.
    Only worry i have is wethere dave's mount can hold the 1.6W Blue without thermal issues, they are not the biggest mounts around and don't know how thermal transfer will be towards the baseplate in my projector ?
