Does such a thing exist as a mount exactly like an mm1 but 1/2 the size or even 1/4 the size? Like say an MM0.5 or MM0.25

the mm0.5 does indeed exist.

I had to use some threebond when setting them up to get them to lock in also. That fine pitch on the mm's is really something.
