Oh cool, glad to see you might make it to FLEM, LJ! Added you to the list!
Hey David;
LJ is going to be bringing the parts needed to assemble a home-grown 445 module. Do you have a diode press? Or did you just use the "back of the Aixiz module" trick with a C-clamp? Want to be able to show LJ how to do it right...
Adam
Hey -
While you guys have that dude from Pangolin in close proximity, see if you can find out about an estimated release of the latest LD2000 update, and the LD2000 bridge for Beyond...![]()

Sweet.....
Adam, never worked with a diode before so no press and I do not know about C-clamp trick.
LJ
Hey LJ! If you have an aixiz module to press your diode into, what I do is unscrew the back part of the aixiz module that has the small hole for the wires. I place the diode holder part of the aixis module down on a flat surface and place the diode in the hole. I then use the back part of the aixis module, placing the part with the hole over the diode, the pins usually fit nicely thru the hole for the wires. I then carefully pickup the pieces and place them in a C-clamp. This has worked like a charm for me. If I get some time I can throw together a video.
Although a little more $$ some blank modules have a threaded part that presses the can for you and makes changing out a snap. theses are invaluable if you need to test lots of diodes in search of the 'Special' high effecient Freak diode.
sorry to sat that FLEM may just not be in the cards for me. My car may not be up for the drive(steering pump going out) and gas is way too high $$ , as are the prices for flying- 168$ each way-- Still keeping my fingers crossed.

Well.... the bride hasn't had the guts to call me and say the wedding isn't happening but... it ain't happening. So, step one has been crossed. Flights are in the $400 range so, that's my next hurdle. Hoping to see some last minute deals or price drops as we get closer.
I am still coming but unfortunately not with t-shirts due to economical reasons. I apologize in advance.
