Hey Spec, A Request

I'm clearly one of the "junior members" Steve knew would chime in (scream?) and I'm completely ambivalent as to whether this actually comes to pass. I think most who frequent this forum can easily recognize which members are pros (as well as those who are helpful) just based on the content of their posts. I already have a lot of respect for guys like Steve and many others here who are incredible resources for the community, and I don't think a few medallions or logos beneath their names would change that for better or worse.

It does seem like it would require a significant effort on the part of the administrator to vet everyone's credentials and keep track of them.

My guess will be that it will never come to fruition in it's originally proposed form but, maybe after healthy discussion, a palatable idea will arise.

This forum could just continue to badger and throw stones at the amateurs that walk by....

I am against such badge schemes. I have the AU equivalent of a Variance, but I don't need no stinking gold star or purple elephant badge for people to know I am a cranky miserable old bastard.
