Best driver for HL63133DG 637nm 170mW Diode

Hey,
What do u think is the best driver for a dualbuild of 2 HL63133DG -637nm-170mW-Diodes?
I don´t want to overdrive the diode.I want to treat them very very carefully(because of the price).
Because of that i don´t want to use something like the die4drive or something else.

If you build a quad or dual. Badpip has the best driver for the job. It has also beamsupression so no faint beam when modulation input is 0v. Afer a time you probably want to build a quad or dual setup so why invest in a single driver?

I ve seen this driver a while ago.And i consider to take it.
At first it will be a dual build ...at first ...but at first i just wanted to light my modded PC with some cool laserpointers... now i own a selfbuild rgb-laser...

I have used the flexmod as a quad for well over 2 years. I've have zero porblems. It has the sane on board threshold current adjustment. I'm a bit biased as Andrew is a friend of mine just for complete disclosure. I was using a $200.00 team wavelenght driver and I switched to P3. It is as good or better and much cheaper. It has one flaw and that is the solder pads are way small.

I think starryeyes would be more helped with some general good advice instead of prices to make a good choice but its good that he can choose from different options.

Below some info about the differences between the different drivers.


Flexmod:

SINGLE DRIVER
Power input: 5-24VDC (Output 0-23V)
Analog Input: 0-5V
TTL input: 0-5V Off-On
Gain setting: 25 turn trimmer 0-4A output.
Bias setting: 25 turn trimmer range 0-1A output
Triple input protection ESD/Over Volt

Interlock, optional start delay

Phritzler driver :

One current and threshold setting for all 4 channels
Standby Beam Surpression (becouse also red diodes could have a standbybeam)
Switch On Delay of 2seconds if your PS will drop some peaks out.
Filtered input incl. overvoltage guard and protection against reverse polarity for Modulation and Power
5VDC input


Badpip driver:

Quad driver

Board is 48x63mm with 4mm mounting holes.

Andythemechanic is also a member of PL so you can send him a PM also. This is a really nice driver when you want to power 4 red diodes parrallel on 1 driver and mount it on the back.

But i would go for a 4 channel one with enough current per channel to power also blue diodes. Its also better to power each diode with their own current since different diodes have different characteristics. Not 1 diode is exactly the same because of the tolerances in manufacturing. Same diodes have different treshhold currents for example.

No problem. I like the one from Badpip for powering quads. I also very fond of the one from andythemechanic because of the beamsupression that it has. He changed a few things recently so now its capable of doing 2.5 amps. I use it for quad 660 modules because it fits on the back.
