Too much data on R/C input which I don't want to use. Im not making a vehicle, but a camera stabilization platform. I joined DIYdrones a while ago and have found nothing to help, directly

You have to start with a open source inertial platform, hence DIY drones.
If you cannot adapt their open code, there is almost NOTHING else available for what you seek, short of paying for commercial IMU.

I got it, just had to work hard and look more. I think I need to add a third axis for yaw rate on camera, but here is the viseo of it working..

I find it has a bit of a slow pan/tilt response...

I need to reduce the time for servo response. It seems to work having the accelerometer on the base, rather than the top of the camera. Ill probably end up using better gear motors with tach/encoder feedback. Ultimately, Ill have it all machined...In the mean time, atleast it works

Nice to have that sort of $$ for it is not cheap. Servos, steppers or gear driven with encoders. If servos, they're not the cheap aircraft ones. I've seen RS232 / RS485 operated servos, very expensive ~$500usd each whhich would be easy to design with..
