All in all, it looks quite repetitive and boring, notwithstanding the seemingly intentional shining in people's faces.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Those are clearly 1W+ at 1-2' distance from direct eye contact. FDA check your complaint box!

In some of Jon's captures they look quite diverged but in others such as this:

    They look tight.

I think the apparent divergence therefore in some captures is maybe down to persistence due to fast movement and the frame capture time of the video rather than actual divergence.

I find it hard to believe they're within MPE from that distance.

I mean whats the MPE power level with say a 4mm square beam from 6 feet? I bet its very low and below 200mw by a long way and yet on my Kvant the 445 extinguishes at 20% which would be 200mw if linear. However, its barely visible below 30% which leads me to believe the last bit of power reduction isn't linear, suggesting that the laser is possibly above 30% in the videos assuming its a 445 diode which appears likely from the colour.

This calls for asymmetric warfare. Someone needs to get a LPM to one of his gigs, run up and grab a hand and measure. A Coherent Lasercheck would be idea for this. Self cal, latches the reading, and no thermal drift. You've go 10-20 seconds to measure once you hit the button, and it finds peaks.

He's probably so used to walking un-molested that you would get away with it once.

However the bouncers are going to beat the $&*( out of you for attempting this.

I now return to reading my pre-Rainbow Six Tom Clancy.

I'm not sure how you can say they are 1w+ from the vids. Yes they are bright, but I'm not sure they're as big as all that. Weve all seen just how visible 445 is at even moderate powers (note i said visible, not bright). Should he be doing what he's doing? Not in my opinion.
