Yeah, he tours with David Guetta... We told him his lasers were illegal to use in the USA and his reply was, "it isn't legal almost anywhere I perform, I just do it without telling anyone and always get away with it."

its people like him who make people with diy projectors who know and obey all the rules they can look bad.
I would love to get my projector variances and i do plan to. Have i used with without it, yes.
It was in the in use with another laser company who had some experiance with shows and let me pop my cheery by running with them.
But people like him are going to make things alot worse.
If i ever come to his show and that laser hits me in the eye i will have his ass in court.

From the Kryoman Facebook pg - "Kryoman The Robot - Albany, Syracuse, Atlantic City, Durham, NYC back in LA on the 10th.."
Think he has a NY laser license? Files notifications? Has a variance?

    I think 'multiple-people' / submissions can only-help... I just sent:

"'Performer' shooting what is *clearly* well-over 5mW into *faces* at dance-club: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z717hDrcMmo - Not an 'isolated incident', either - here, what would appear to-be multiple-watt 445nm Blues, directly into faces (@ ~5:25) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxP1jkGiPzc ..currently-being performed in Vegas... This 'performer' needs an *education*, asap, before he blinds someone!"

If he is, lemme know - I know Karl (LaserWizardry) would be more than glad to join me in at least attempting to orchestrate a 'sting'...

The video has definitely been artificially saturated in my opinion, you can see the tell tale jaggedness and artefacts you usually get with overuse of saturation / contrast controls in the blue beams.

That said, you can't take away from the fact that these appear to be 445nm blue which usually means 500mw-1W power from the most dangerous colour.

It seems that some people are potentially getting it into their eyes from as little as 2 metres or so. I didn't witness any of it caught on video as I only skimmed a couple of sections but in the bit I saw, the lasers appeared to be down into the front of the crowd albeit the crowd in the bits I viewed were just off camera. Given these are static beams (or at least in terms of movement, hand movement is far less than eg 30k scan speed), this looks very dangerous to me.

I reported also on the FDA site:

    Dear MR or MRS

I,m a member of photonlexicon i recently saw a performance by Kryoman on youtube with bluelaserpointers attached to his arms that are well over 5mw and dangerously going directly into the audiance:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxP1jkGiPzc

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z717h...eature=related

    His website: http://www.kryoman.com/

    https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kryom...t/164690941131

    http://twitter.com/kryoman

I,m from outside the USA ( the netherlands )
But i,m worried about that someone in the audiance will loose his eyesight. Its only a matter of time and he will blind someone and so i hope this can be prevented by this report so action can be taken. Imagine your daughter or son standing in the crowd and loose his sight by this guy.
Please take action before its to late.

Hope this helps. Mixed gas thanks for the info. I understand kryoman is from Newyork?

Kryoman is from the UK from what I gathered when he called me about building a "laser mohawk"... I think he decided to go with someone else because i kept on enforcing "these are not legal for use in the USA."

He is performing with Tiesto in this video. Surely Tiesto's management would be on to safety?

Are you sure his lasers are as powerful as you think?

TBH unless its their own exclusive concert, many top stars simply do sets and the lighting management etc is down to the club management. I've seen a few top names at a local night where laser powers were unchecked.

As for powers who knows, but if they're 445nm, the lowest I managed to modulate my 1W 445 at is 20% before it went out. Assuming it to be linear in response, that's potentially 200mw. We all know the usual power for 445nm is 500-1000mw.
