An outstanding idea; I hope it goes ahead for all.
I have wanted to reciprocate the trip too at some point; just need a "good year" to get a jar of spare cash to enjoy.

If everyone wants Surfleet that's fine by me. I'm not looking to take anything away from Jim's LEM. Just thought it might be easier and it might be nice to ring the changes for the one offs.

For comparison, its around 2 hours to Stansted airport and 3 hours to Gatwick according to Google Maps directions, which is the more likely US destination: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=surf...ed=0CDYQ8gEwAA

Also, whilst I can't comment on Wakefield, no lack of laserscope space in Sheff (green cross is the building but the whole of the fields are potentially available):

The rest of its a school so out of use at weekends.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Well.. so far the European (and Dnar) response has been great. I'm already getting excited at the prospects. I may need to provide a link in The Lounge though so it gets more views. I appreciate everyones input thus far, (and the pictures of a potential site!) Very cool!

    Thanks!

    What's the date on this?

For the Uk members.... Do they frown on park bench sleeping? I'm too cheap to stay in hotels

Sleeping in the venue is another good thing about Surfleet.. it's totally free, and actually not all *that* bad with some planning. And an airbed. And some earplugs

I live within reasonable driving distance of all the London airports and would gladly assist any overseas visitors with transportation to a UKLEM, it would be superb if they made the trip!
