Computer controlled Lathe / Mill whatever you want to call it.

Seems that's what some of the biggest players still call them: http://www.millscnc.co.uk/products/2...g-centres.html

That's what we used to call them when I was at school, albeit in the dark ages when DOS was the OS of choice and Ron Jeremy was still young!

Mills is the company name, not the equipment.
A mill is a mill and a lathe is a lathe, but a lathe can do both jobs if set up to
When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.

I'm no expert Chris. Back in my day at school when were using them, we had one of the very 1st ones, the teacher called them computer controlled lathes or CNC lathes. I wouldn't know what they are called now.

All I know is they're cool whatever the correct name.

In my experience (Qualified Toolmaker) I can say without fear of contraception that this machine is actually an electric chisel, combined with a Soda Stream...

What's the max table travel Dan? I have a nice little job for it ie; 19" patch panel with DB25, DMX and Ethercon outlets...

Table is much bigger so we could clamp it and do it in 2 go's.
