Guys, Im also bored of the 660s, always dying, I would love to build a quad set up, Ive built 3 of Edisons quads but appreciate that with these diodes things will be a lot different, I want to get involved with the GB, My inexperience has put me off a little but don't want to miss out on this.

Please can someone help me with a parts list, suppliers, obviously 4 diodes, 4 diode holders, are the standard ones that Dave sell ok, I have read about centralizing the lens. Diode lenses whos best, again I believe Dave offers the best. What else PBS, wave plate, Flex type mounts, corrective lenses, I think one set would do as in a previously shown plan.and anything else Ive missed.

I know there is a whole different thread dedicated to the subject, please don't ask me to go read It, I know I should but reading is not my favourite subject and I think I would rather die than go through all those pages on info that I would not understand.

Please help.

Well if you are building a quad you going for a 2W red build?
For a 1W build you only need 2 diodes.
The centralizing lens/diodes's are not to needed.
They will improve beam spec and power by a slight bit,
As it is i have moved over to using a copper aixiz housing plus a aluminum heatsink, just like real cpu cores use(copper core and aluminum heat spreader and fins.)
As far as where to get them you can buy daves mounts but you will need to shim 2 of them up so the beams work.
Or you can msg a member with a mill and they can make you a setup.
Daves 2mm FL lenses are good.
Well you can build a quad with only one set of correction optics, but that makes it a bit harder, as you will start to run into space problems. there is enough space to do a PBS before the correction optics, just you will only have about 5mm on both sides to spare. given you use a 20mm PBS cube.
So in all you would need 3 flex mounts. 2 for the knife edging and 1 for the PBS, plus 1 waveplate mount.

In which case please put me down for 4 of Daves 2mm FL lenses, if that is they are coming throught this GB, I'll have 2 sets of corrective lenses, I will try to use just the one set but I will order 2 in case I have to change my plans, 4 flex mounts, can anyone here supply the wave plate easily, I can get a 10mm PBS through Rob (stanwax) wave plate mount??.

That depends on if we get 25 or have to go with a higher price if we dont meet the 25 i will be buying them at a higher price of around 60$ per set.
So if we can push a few more sets we are golden but if not were all going to pay more in the end.

OK, lets hope the prices will be able to come down, Its a compromise against time I guess, which ever, im In, just let me know as and when.

I will get some mount and other parts sorted in the mean time.

i will post my PP once we reach 25, if we dont reach it soon i will post the final price that we hope will be under 60$ for a set.
I dont want to collect any money until we have a Solid price.
Im trying to sell my 1W 445nm laser harp for some extra cash so if i can sell it i will be picking up a few more sets.
