    Hey,
What about contacting a lawyer in the US?
Perhaps there is a PL-member living in the same state like Kiyoukan does who could make a contact to lawyer.I would do it on principle.
I only lost a few Dollars which dont really hurt but he harmed my trust in GroupBuys.

    Just my thoughts

    Guys,
Forget the lawyer. It's too expensive unless this was a really big scam. How about as in a group buy everyone who is out money post to a growing list with name and money lost. If this turns out to be many thousands then maybe pursue this. A victim might be persuaded to file this in Michigan. I don't know if this will fly from another state as in doing business as Kiyoukan Optics Distributors etc. But, small claims court is pretty unpleasant. The subpena can be delivered by the police to his place of employment. And of course he might be sued over and over and over...

Ok lets start a list of outstanding items never received from Kiyoukan,

Tonyaztec, 1 set Cylindrical lens, ordered on PM he charged $50, 4 mounts @ $12, total owed $98.
    Squat that bug,

One day I'll finish my build.

one payment is $211,09 i transferred him, and one is $122,21. Both transferred as gift. Unfortunatly the $122,21 isnt marked as a purchase under "notes for payment" so i probaly will have no chance of getting that back.
But its 333,30 dollar total i lost to him. Half of what i needed to pay for the module he was making for me.

I think this might be easier to visualize if each additional post took the previously growing list and pasted their details.

cant we call the police there and ask if they can research a bit? i think its a scam large enought to let the police do some researching? maybe they can find out if he's in the hospital or on a tropical island?

You can't just call the police. There hasn't necessarily been a crime. Slow even very slow delivery and poor customer relations is not criminal, just shitty. Think it out. The police do not have a role if he is in the hospital and no jurisdiction if he is on Tuvalu. Seriously, if he has a physical address then contact him and document it. Bug him and get him to respond. Ask for an explanation or a return of your money. If Dave sent the components somewhere ask him where that was and follow up.

You really can make his life unpleasant if he is cheating, but you need to make a reasonable attempt to reach him and on line forums or Facebook is pretty lame.
