I'll have to put in a special request.
I'll have to put in a special request.
I may just get 1 Dave's lens now and have something to do until the GB happens .. I have a set of Dr.Lava's cyl lenses .. are they the same magnification as the cyl lenses in this GB or is one 6X and one 10X or something ?

I wish i could get in on this group buy :-/ I want to start experimenting with the G71's or the P73's but I'm still in prehistoric times with the 660's. I'm about to drop $5000 on a projector so I'll have to wait on the 638 project til next time. I'm thrilled to see the improvements in beams though!

Okay so a member has been pushing to get these sooner and has agreed to help pay postage for the whole order.
So please post if you are interested in a higher price under 60$ (i hope will have the exact amount within a few days)
As when buying in bulk the smaller amount you buy the higher the price we all pay, but seeing as this is as far as we have gotten and even the 25 unit order is being hard to obtain if you would like to get a set sooner vs buying the 100$+ set from Edmund optics let me know.
I have given CDbeam a free set of 6X lenses for testing so you will soon be able to see his results. i do have 1 more spare set.
However the second spare set has damaged of around 3.5 mm of the 9.8mm lens so still enough to use with a 4mm beam.
I am looking to get this moving if i have to shut down the GB and just buy my own personal stash along with CDbeam i will but if you are interested let me know ASAP.
I am tired of waiting.
Zeropoint, if you are building a projector you WANT these red's they are way brighter than the same power Quad diode arrays.
1W of 635nm vs 1W of 659nm, the 659nm does not even come close. i will never go back to the 659nm diodes.
I'm up for paying the higher price to get this going sooner.![]()
Yea that seems to be the thing i guess even dreaming of a 50 unit order was a bit much, even the 25 about were just about 8 units short.
Please make sure to post if you want them sooner but at a higher cost if we cannot meet the 25 unit order by the end of this week, im going to get a quote for the higher prices ones and then place the orders.
As far as daves lenses, not close their so we can just buy and use the semi bulk buy to get something like 2-3 day shipping due to the larger order or you guys can just order from dave now and you should have them by the time the correction optics come in.
Im tired of waiting for these and i know most of you guys are too, as buying from edmunds or thor just costs way to much.
If i had a bit more spare cash around 2,500$ worth i would just go ahead and buy a whole 50 set for myself, but being a student i have to keep my money in order and remember this is only a hobby.
Also if you are a very good member who has good testing equipment contact me about my last spare set of correction optics, i want to someone with really good skills to publish the results who know's maybe after we all get ours there will be more interest.
As all this stuff is so new and most people have not read all the trials and errors, they just want to see a well published and documented way to correct these lasers.
I'm still in for two sets of correction optics and four of Dave's lens.
I'm definitely already sold on the 635's i just dont have any spare money at the moment and since i already have some 660's ill be using them to start. but once i have some extra cash i will be upgrading to the 635's, unfortunately it wont be in time for the group buy :/
