Ahh I was missing the negative on the etime and phase in the sine function. I Should have caught the negative since I'm looking for decay. The phase on the other hand is a new addition to my learning. Thank you

Phase is just short hand for etime*2*pi, so nothing new there :P It makes working with trigonometric functions a bit simpler.

here's some video from my LSX talk at SELEM...

big thanks to dkumpula for filming and editing it in a way to make me sound reasonably coherent.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Guys, how do we know when there is a new version / update of LSX and how do we get it?

I think Dr lava told me to use a specific link in an email that I got when I purchased it and I;ve used it since to get a copy but it's still the same as before.

Has there been an update recently?

Just want to see if any of the issues and suggestions myself and others have flagged and suggested have been implemented or changed.

    Default LSX Updates How To

You can find a thread on www.lasershowforums.com that lists the updates when they are available as well as what is new:

    http://www.lasershowforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1022
. I would suggest subscribing to that thread so you will get an email whenever there are new updates.

You get the updated software from your "Update Link". I usually rename the zip file to include the date I downloaded it so I can retain the updates in an orderly fashion. The update zip file will have the same name as the last update zip file however it contains updated files from the previous time.

The last update according to the thread was on March 2nd of 2013.

But what is odd is several people at SELEM mentioned getting new download links. Are there beta test versions available somewhere ? A smoother output engine was mentioned by Steve and I am thinking there will be additional dmx in an upcoming build.

Thank you Swamidog for this lecture and dkumpula for your efforts in posting the video !
Swami, I really enjoyed your presentation... Can't wait to try some new stuff now. I picked up quite a bit just watching you use the application, I'll be watching multiple times and using the pause button for sure )
