Default Diode Driver Roundup- Need your help.

    Hi guys,

I would like to get a definitive list of diode drivers going. I am working on a project and am a little concerned about getting FlexMod 3's because of Dr.Lava's life changes.
Please keep this thread "just the facts" If you want to discuss then start another thread and knock yourselves out.

    Here is an example:

    FlexMod P3: DrLava
    Power input: 5-24VDC
    Current: 100ma to 4A
    Analog Input: 0-5.0V
    Gain setting
    Bias setting
    Interlock loop
    Positive regulation (high side)
    Dimensions: 1.25”x0.87” (32x22mm)
    Price: $38
    Datasheet: http://hacylon.case.edu/laser/FlexMo...dP3_Manual.pdf
    Purchase: http://hacylon.case.edu/ebay/laser_diode/FlexModP3.php
Comment: Good driver / hard to get a hold of.

    Thanks Much!

    Hey

Have a look at This thread.
I think these are the most used drivers.

The LaserWave LW0202-II is a decent driver, analog, and TEC in a metal enclosure. I priced them 8-9 months ago, they were quite reasonable; less than 20 bucks more than DrLava's driver. I'm not sure of current pricing, but i doubt they have changed much.

    See Attached.

Edit: Allthat, what happened to the driver Pangolin is/was working on?

I have a quad that will be coming to market soon.

1.2 A design per channel, capable of 4A+ per channel
    Offset, as standard.
    Undervoltage/Overvoltage lockout
Independent diode protector circuit per channel, protects those 200$ diodes, shuts down quickly.
Through hole replaceable output parts except for the limiter, which is potted to prevent clones.
Its not small. I'm using a 40 Amp To2XXAB fet for the output stage.
    12V supply input.
Startup delay to ensure power is "Quiet"
    Channels are completely independent.

    Steve
