I believe there is an um/mm index displayed on screen.
I don't know of any equipment in the labs where I work here that would measure the resistance of such short fine wire. Maybe after the wire dia/ length is found, an equation could be applied to solve for resistance ?

I have the de-canned 9mm and a de-canned M-series diode going off for macro shots.
I can send them to you after those are done

At minimum we can get pictures of both at the same resolution for comparison, no?

If you want, I can send along a de-canned A-series as well

    1st of next week, maybe?

    Peace,

Accurate measurement or even accurate relative measurements of the bond wire diameter and length and if possible the dimensions of the emitters would be way enough good. Equations abound and probably don't really matter much compared to the relative measurements. This would be great if you could look at all three diodes to compare these basic measurements.

Besides the cost, what is the difference between the M140 and the H1600?

The M-series has 24 diodes and a red LED

The H-series has 32 diodes and both a red and a blue LED
Also, the LED's are more powerful than the LED in the M-series

The H-series' diode assembly is set up to hold a total of 40 diodes, but for now the bottom row is left empty
The ribbon cable for these additional 8 diodes is in place, just not used (yet?)

    Peace,
    dave

Sorry, I should have been more specific.

Besides the cost, what is the difference between the M140 diode and the H1600 diode?

I think one is 5.6mm and the other is 9mm. Haven't heard about beam specs yet.
