There are 24 diodes in the projector (2 @ blocks of 12 diodes each)
This is one of the reasons we hesitated to make it public
The BenQ projector is more expensive than the Casio M and H series
The Casio projectors have more diodes (and a powerful red and a blue LED) AND these 9mm appear to have about the same output as the 5.6mm
The biggest difference we can see for now is that the 9mm diodes include an ESD protection circuit inside the diode

The laser diodes are the only light source in the BenQ projector
The projector gets BOTH red and green light via a phosphor disk

The collimation lenses are glued (via a pot metal "scaffold") directly to each individual diode can
Sometimes the diode window is broken while removing the lens

    Peace,
    dave

    Ok. Thatīs interesting.

BTW, Osram now sells their 1,4W 450nm +-10nm laser diode. The price seems to be nearly the same as for the harvested C**** beamer diodes.

Yeah, a link. I can't seem to find any 1.4Watt osram 450nm diodes on the interweb. I'll take two 450 + 10nm pleez

Look at the operating temp. Up to 70°C.

The desired link is to where you found these for "The price seems to be nearly the same as for the harvested C**** beamer diodes."

A friend of mine who is working for a laser designing company told it to me. So there is no link to the prices.
Will get the actual prices next few days.

How about a link to the spec sheet of the 445 9mm diodes? Thx in advance
