Default Hazer - QTX Hazer FX900

    Hi to all,

starting off, i do not intend to buy a unique, or martin or any other monster of a hazer.
I just need a small one for home use and maybe a really small gig or two once a semester.

So, does anyone have experience with the QTX FX900 Hazer? Or any other similarly priced one? A dmx option should be a cool thing to have, too

does anyone know if it will have problems running water-based fluids or other brand oil-based fuilds?

    thanks a lot!

It look ok to me. I would not go less than 900W though.

It will use Glycerine/Water fluid. Do yourself a favor, don't use oil fluids... (can you still get them?)

I have a similar unit, it's fine for home and venues to around 100 square meters, by 5M in height.

Chris I have the Antari fazer version of that and it's ok. The FX1000 and HZ2 are better units at hazing despite 'only' being 400w and 600w respectively. Give a better haze and much more economical on fluid.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Chris, The Antari version of this design is the most expensive but, yes, it's simply rebranded and sold by others as well. I have two of them branded "Irradiant". And they were much less than Antari. You'll also find them branded "Elation". Having opened them up and worked on the insides, they're all basically the same. Even my "Irradiants" came with an "Antari" owners manual in the box. The only issue I have had was a slight clogging of a nozzle which a little white vinegar took care of. I have an actual Antari sitting apart on my bench waiting for a replacement pump as well. A DJ friend of mine has used his weekely for about three years and it finally needed some TLC. HE bought an Irradiant when the Antari first went down and before he could bring it to me to look over, and he's been pleased with it so far.

I have the exact same hazer only with Omni Systems stickers.

Not a bad hazer, but mine slowed output and then plugged within 5 months of getting it. I put in a new heating element coil and while trying to figure why it plugged I noticed that even after it stopped hazing it would still puff out some haze for a few minutes. I though possibly that was why it plugged, so instead of turning it off when I'm done, I tried leaving it on for at least 10 minutes. So far 3 years later still the same amount of haze and has not plugged.
