Hello, I was wondering what is the milliwatt rating for each laser module individually. How do you handle the CDRH compliance rules? v/r Lenny
Good morning Lenny,
That is a very good question. Each laser is tuned to exactly 5mW. It is a genuine 5mW and not the "i'll call it 5mW but it's really 20mW and no one will know" that many lasers are sold at today.
Since there is no way to combine the beams without lab equipment the burning power of each 5mW laser never exceeds 5mW, so ten 5mW lasers are just as safe as one 5mW laser.
I and many people I know have been hit in the eye with these many times and a direct hit is about as bright as a 100w light bulb.
In order to satisfy regulations there is a label on the back of the gloves which contains all the elements prescribed by the CDRH.
Thank you for your concern. If you have any further questions, just send a reply to this address.
