Go to a stained glass supply and ask for Spectrum "Clear Granite". I think you will like the results.

That is definitely awesome! I need to do something a little more permanent with mine.

Take a pointer to the stained glass shop. Ask to rent their circle cutter and drill while your there.
Get incredulus looks when you tell them what your doing, and see how they treat new people they think are insane.
Well, that is what occurs if it is a female staff or owner. Might be wise to take the missus if this is the case.

that kind of happened to me when i went to a glass shop here. i wanted to see see the sample glass the had to find which made the best images so i brought a pointer with me. i had the desk girl and the owner (also female) mesmerized lol. the owner made a comment about drugs and said if her daughter ever came home with a lumia she'd know she was smoking pot lol

V1 wasn't able to cool a DPSS module sufficiently, so I'm working on V2 now. Still waiting for the mechanical bits, but meanwhile, here's the control board:

    - Two buck converter modules giving ~5v and ~2v rails
    - Three 600mA-max diode drivers with PWM: two from the 5v rail for red and blue, and one from the 2v rail for an IR pump diode for green
    - Two variable-speed motor drivers, as before
    - 1.5A full-bridge TEC driver
    - Three thermistor input circuits
    - Connector for RF module for mesh networking

    More to come...

Ah, the r&d process at work. the ups an downs of development.
The "yes! I've cracked it" moments to the "oh crap how did I miss that" face palms and of course the things that don't perform as planed 1st time round.

Second revisions are always satisfying knowing you can nail the oversights from v1.

Thanks for the update, I'm really enjoying seeing your design come to life.

That's going to be one tasty bite sized nugget of lumina goodness!!

    Cheers

Case is here. A little more complicated this time.
