Like the title says, I'm selling a 1-1.4w 532 DHOM Dpss. I bought this in december 2011, when I was entertaining the notion of building a high power laser projector. I've woken from said pipe dream, and now have in my possession a laser with more power than I know what to do with.
Why am I listing it as "1-1.4 watts"? Well, It's billed as a 1 watt laser, but fully driven it generates just over 1.4 watts. To me, that means you'll have a reliable 1 watt green, since it can obviously do more than that, she should play nice at 1 watt for awhile. The fan in the PSU sounds like a howitzer, it is clearly moving a bunch of air.
This is a labby style (yeah, I know), dpss, doing 1.4 watts, with analog modulation. Price is $750 OBO. I just lost a gig that was going to make my summer much less worry-free,so I need to have some cash on hand. Ergo, I NEED to sell this laser. If you're Interested, make me a deal, we'll see if we can't work something out.
A few notes:
I will ONLY ship insured for the agreed purchase price, by this I mean the package will ship from me for the full insured value that we determine. You can choose the courier (since you're paying for it). I'll split the insurance fees. It's worth a few bucks to me to make sure you get what you want.
This is a STUPIDLY POWERFUL LASER. as you can see from the pictures below, this laser has more than enough power to fuck your world up if you're stupid with it. I don't turn it on without goggles. NEITHER SHOULD YOU. If you don't understand the significance of what I just said, don't waste our time (mine and yours) by asking to buy this.
I don't have a calibrated meter with me (The Pile I used for measurements is with my projector in another city, it's scheduled for moving trip #2), but I've taken a few beamshots with it so you can get an idea of the power. these pictures were taken at about 5pm est in tennessee, with daylight filtering in via the (in shot) glass door. you can see in one shot where I am silhouetted by the backscatter from the beam hitting a white doorjamb ~20 feet from the aperture of the laser. Pictures were taken with my Droid x on auto mode. It burns cardboard, which was my first test beamdump. (I don't like burning things with lasers, there is a completely different forum for that stuff).
If any of you would like additional specs on this laser, please pm me or post here. (I've got a caliper lying around somewhere, I can measure the specs if you like them)
That being said, if you want a nice, bright compact (well, the head at least) laser, this might just fit your bill.
and, again, to reiterate: I NEED MONEY! PLEASE BUY MY SEXY LASER!
