Default Trying to fire up an ILT 5500

Over 4 years ago I picked up a ILT 5500ABL-00-ACL head from a friend. It has since sat on a shelf. I did some basic tests when I got it. It did ionize and it appears to have a good filament with about 3500 hours. Its in very nice shape. Since then I have had a saved search running for the matching power supply on ebay and only a couple times have seen one pop up, and then only with a head and no shipping.

So I am considering more and more trying to adapt another power supply to run it. I have found very little about the head, the one manual I did find showed shipping test data of a 2.5v filament and around 220v DC voltage drop on the tube. Seems pretty close to a Onmi 643. It also used the same AMP connector as the OMNI power supplies and the pinout seems to be the same as well.

Another option is I have a Uniphase/Spectra Physics 2113 power supply, this is the one for the "high power" versions of the typical cylindrical head unpiphases with a longer tube running at more current. The problem is I can not find any operating info on the 2213/2113 Head/PSU combo, no tube voltage drops, no operating current. The manual does mention 3.1v for the filament.

Anyone have any ideas or more information than what I have figured out? I am thinking it might be best to find a 643 power supply and go from there.

Not totally new to lasers. Almost 15 years ago I had a Omni 532 and a 643 RYB whitelight. In the middle of building a 40W servo driven laser cutter now (CO2) and have a bunch of larger FAP modules to build a DPSS for 1060/1064 someday for etching metal.

The cutter I am working on:

Really check that pinout. Last time I checked ILTs did not use Omni/ALCs boost voltages and a other few pins were different. However I no longer have a ILT pinout to help you with.

One thing to check for is FAN SENSE pins. My ILT of a different model looks at the fan current before starting.

It looks like I don't need to worry about it any more. I his pile of goodies, djmatt has the right power supply for the head. Yay!
