Default All green lasers polarized ??

Hi i am trying to create a laser curtain (parallel beam) and the light must be polarized.

So i wonder what kind of laser i should buy.
I have read that green laser should (??) be polarized.
i only need a few mW

So is all green lasers polarized ??

    any suggestion ??
I live in sweden if that make any difference.

    Thanks // Mike

NO, not all green lasers are polarized.

As far as DPSS lasers go:

Lasers based on a Nd:YAG crystal may or may not be polarized, depending on the doubling method chosen. In fact some may be circularly polarized because of a internal 1/4 wave plate.

Lasers based on a ND:YVO4 crystal tend to have 200:1 or so polarization because of inherent birefringnce in the YVO4.

So you really have to specify that you need a polarized laser with the vendor, or use a external polarizer and accept the consequences of possibly loosing up to ~60 percent of your laser power.
