suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Glad to help. Seems like the low RPM gearmotors are in the 4XX:1 or 5XX:1 ratios...

I'm going to keep the search up!
I know that the Hankscraft motors have been the motor of choice for the laser show business for many years, I too was using these with lumia kits as my standard motor. Since the low RPM Hankscraft motors are becoming rare as hen's teeth, I've started using the Servocity motors for all of my lumia - they are smaller, encased in all metal and work great.

These motors are from Hsiang Neng Motors, part number# HN-35GMB-1640Y(R). This is a 12VDC 1 RPM motor, as the .5 RPM were not available when I ordered a quantity of these direct. Shipping from China was expensive and I wasn't happy about how they were packed, but everything worked and these are the best that I have located to date.

If there's enough interest and you may want to have a group buy for the UK, I can put you in touch with a contact at Hsiang Neng Motors.

A group buy is a great idea Greg. I'm being pretty impatient at the moment though as want to get something built within a couple of weeks.

Thank you for your offer of putting me in touch with your contact. If we decide to set up a group buy here, that would be very handy

In the photo of your lumia rig, is there a name for the type of mount you are using?

It's just a simple 'L' bracket. Andy_Con can probably machine you some up on his CNC mill
