Been Playing With some 638

Looking at the initial un-corrected beam spec and the orange ish colour at the start, they look like Mitsu G71 diodes.

In the last photo they look like 660nm, maybe Andy is having a laugh here.

i am building another 660 for someone as it goes

Yep, thats the G71, and yes they have them down as 638nm (632 to 644 possible range). Not sure why I hadthese down as shorter all this time, dunce I guess

About 45-50 cents
£ value is normally about 2/3rds of $ value
So:
divide by 2, multiply by 3 for £ to $
divide by 3, multiply by 2 for $ to £
